Lough Neagh Sand

One of the main sources of sand and gravel in Northern Ireland is Lough Neagh.

Lough sand is brought ashore by barge before being processed at one of four land based sites on the shoreline of the Lough. These towers are situated along the western shore of Lough Neagh a few miles from Toomebridge.
